The BJP today reiterated its demand for a probe by JPC into the alleged major scams including the alleged irregularities in the allocation of 2G Spectrum allocation and the Commonwealth Games. In its political resolution adopted at its National Executive meeting in Guwahati, the BJP resolved to fight corruption tooth and nail. It also accused the Congress party of protecting Quattrocchi who received kickbacks in the Bofors case saying that the Income Tax appellate tribunal has established this. The political resolution also said that the BJP will highlight the alleged failure of the government in controlling food prices and addressing issues facing the common man. The Congress on the other hand strongly reacted to the BJP's accusations saying that the opposition party is trying to divert attention from the RSS complicity in terrorism. Party spokesman Abhishek Singvi described BJP's allegations on Bofors as travesty of truth.
