The BJP has accused the UPA government of undermining established institutions during 15th Lok Sabha. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today senior BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley said that the government did not pay due importance to the reports of Comptroller and Auditor general, Public Accounts Committee, Joint Parliamentary Committee on several major scams which affect country's economy.
Ms. Swaraj, accused Congress MPs for disruptions in both Houses on the Telanagan bill. However, she expressed happiness over the passage of some important legislations including Lokpal, Food Security, Land Acquisition and Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bills.
Arun Jaitley criticised Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi over his posturing on anti-graft bills saying he never spoke on this issue earlier.
Rahul Gandhi had yesterday accused the Opposition of non-cooperation and looking the other way in fight against corruption.
Arun Jaitley further said that his party is aiming to win 272 plus seats and any talk on alliance with other parties will take place after the general elections.
