Top BJP leaders have announced to take up the issue of price rise with vigour in the forthcoming Budget session of Parliament.<br/><br/>Addressing a protest demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Wednesday the Party president Mr. Nitin Gatkare and the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Mrs. Sushama Swaraj said that the rising prices of essential commodities have badly affected the masses.<br/><br/>Both the leaders charged the government of failure in controlling the price rise and called for effective steps to deal with the situation.<br/><br/>In his address Mr Murli Manohar Joshi alleged that government is in league with hoarders. <br/><br/>He also alleged that there is a nexus between the centre and the Mehangai Mafia creating artificial scarcity of essential commodities. A large number of people joined the leaders in the protest rally.<br/><br/>Earlier some leaders of the party demanded setting up a joint Parliamentary Committee (PC) to probe into, wrong and malicious import-export policies and the alleged connivance of the government with the greedy middleman.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent adds that the BP had launched a nation wide campaign to protest against the price rise. The party leaders held protest demonstrations at Tehsil and district levels and later on in the state capitals. It is culminating on Wednesday with a rally in the National Capital.
