BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal says stern action must be taken against police officials responsible for Lathi charge incident in Patna

Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP MP Sushil Kumar Modi has condemned the incident of lathi charge in Patna on the students demanding the seventh phase of teacher recruitment. In a tweet, Mr. Modi held Chief Minister Nitish Kumar responsible for the delay in the appointment of teachers in the State.<br />''<br />''He said, instead of fulfilling the legitimate demand of the students without further delay, the students who were seeking jobs were beaten up. Mr. Sushil Modi also demanded suspension of the Additonal District Magistrate who was seen beating up a student in a video.<br />''<br />''In Patna security personnel resorted to lathi charge upon aspiring teachers, who were protesting against delay in recruitment. Several aspirants were injured in police lathi charge. During lathi charge Patna Additional district magistrate was assaulting a protester with a stick as he lay on the ground holding a national flag close to his chest.<br />''<br />''The candidate was then dragged by the bureaucrat. Reacting sharply over the incident state BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal said a stern action must be taken against police officials who were responsible for brutal lathi charge on innocent protesting teacher aspirants.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said an inquiry committee under the supervision of Patna Central SP and DDC has been formed. The Deputy Chief Minister said strict actions will be taken against concerned officials, if found guilty.<br />
