BJP President Nitin Gadkari promises to bring a new work culture

BJP President Nitin Gadkari has called upon partymen to work unitedly for the spread of the party. He said, the difficulties being faced by the Party are not due to ordinary workers but those senior leaders whom it has given much. He said, the leaders will have to think whether their political career is important or political ideology.

Mr.Gadkari made these remarks in a closed door meeting of the National Executive at Indore, the first address by him after becoming President last December.

Referring to the highlights of the address, the party spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad said, the New President has promised to bring a new work culture and advised his leaders to progress through their work and not by belittling others.

In a near admission that the BJP is not a party with a difference but differences, Mr.Gadkari told partymen to work for a common cause.

He also emphasized on performance audit of office holders and said accountability needed to be fixed while giving tickets so that the most popular worker in that area would be chosen.

When asked if the party is mulling over bringing back leaders who had left the party in a huff, Ravi Shankar Prasad denied that there is any such proposal. BJP also defended its ties with Shiv Sena saying it had run a coalition government at the Centre for six years and knew how to manage alliances.
