BJP President Amit Shah announces his new team of office bearers

BJP President Amit Shah today announced his new team of office bearers which include eleven Vice Presidents, eight General Secretaries, four Joint General Secretaries and fourteen Secretaries.

Former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, Party MPs Bandaru Dattatreya, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Prabhat Jha and Kiran Maheswari are among eleven nominated Vice Presidents of the party.

The General Secretaries include Jagat Prakash Nadda, Ram Madhav, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Murlidhar Rao and Ram Lal. Varun Gandhi has been dropped from the list of General Secretaries and not been given any party post.

Shyam Jaju, Shrikant Sharma, Poonam Mahajan, Sidharth Nath Singh are among those who have been made Secretaries. Apart from this, ten Spokespersons have been named by the party. They include Shahnawaz Hussain, Sudhashu Trivedi, Meenakshi Lekhi, M J Akbar, Nalin Kohli and Dr Sambit Patra.

Vijya Rahtar will be the new president of Mahila Morcha while Anurag Thakur will continue to be chief of Yuva Morcha. The Scheduled Caste Morcha will be headed by Dushyant Kumar Gautam and Scheduled Tribe Morcha president will be led by Faggan Singh Kulaste. Abdul Rashid Ansari will head the Minority Morcha of the party.

Mr. Shah also nominated new state presidents of party in four states. Khandwa MP, Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan has been appointed the party chief in Madhya Pradesh. Former Speaker of Chattisgarh Assembly, Dharmpal Kaushik is the new party chief of the state, while Mrs Tamilisai Soundararajan has been given the charge of Tamil Nadu. Siddharth Bhattacharya will be the new BJP chief of Assam.

Reacting to the new team of Amit Shah, Party General Secretary J P Nadda said that all the states and communities are represented in the team and majority of the new office bearers are under 50
