BJP has nominated the president of its Manipur unit, Kshetrimayum Bhabananda Singh, as the party candidate for the Rajya Sabha bypoll in the state. <br/><br/>A party statement in Imphal said, the decision to nominate Bhabananda to the lone RS seat was taken today by the Central Election Committee of BJP.<br/><br/>The seat fell vacant after sitting member Haji Abdul Salam of the Congress passed away on 28th February. Congress has already nominated E Dwijamani for the bypoll scheduled for 25th of this month.
