BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam has said that Congress wants to convert the farmer protests into a violent agitation. Speaking to the media in New Delhi today, he said that farmers and BJP workers in Punjab were celebrating former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birth anniversary yesterday when they were attacked by Punjab Police personnel. <br />'' <br />'' Mr. Gautam alleged that the Punjab Police acted on the behest of the Congress ruled State government. He added that in case there is any further violent episode in the protests, then the Congress and the left parties indulged in inciting and misguiding the farmers should be held responsible.<br />''
