BJP national executive offers final touches to resolution on political & economic situation; National Council meet to begin tomorrow

BJP has charged the Congress with trying every trick, including invoking the threat to secularism and tying up with any force, to keep party from coming to power .

Speaking at the BJP National Executive in New Delhi , party president Rajnath Singh said there is growing disappointment against the Congress mainly due to malgovernance, indecisiveness and corruption in the UPA government. Mr Rajnath Singh also referred to the issue of secularism,a matter on which Congress has targeted it often. He alleged many forces want India to be a weak state.

Briefing reporters about the meet earlier in the day, party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said the party president claimed that BJP-led NDA will form a government which will not only be strong on economics and ethics but will also never compromise on the issue of nationalism.

Echoing same tune another BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said Congress is passing through a phase of leadership crisis and it appears to have accepted defeat well before elections. He criticized the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for urging Prime Minister to give three additional LPG cylinders just before Lok Sabha elections.

Mr. Hussain said, Rahul Gandhi counted achievements of the party but failed to give account of corruption cases during UPA regime.

He told reporters that BJP national Executive today gave final touch to its resolutions on the political and economic situation in the country which will be passed at the two-day national council beginning tomorrow. State units will also present reports on their state of preparedness for the Lok Sabha elections and formation of booth level committees.
