The BJP’s efforts to find a successor to Karnataka Chief Minister Yeddyurappa continue.After the Party Parliamentary Board decision to seek Chief Minister’s resignation in the background of the Lokayuktha report on illegal mining, party central leaders Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley arrived in Bangalore on Friday to implement the decision. They held series of talks with the state BJP leaders.Two Ministers in the State Cabinet — V S Acharya and Ramdass –have said that Yeddyurappa was a disciplined party worker and would resign according to the decision of Party Parliamentary board.But, some MLAs and party MPs have expressed support to continue Yeddyurappa as the Chief Minister. The Legislature Party meeting was scheduled to elect the new leader on Friday.
