BJP MP Satyapal Singh's remarks calling Dadri lynching a minor incident has evoked strong reactions from opposition parties. Congress spokesperson Ajoy Kumar alleged that such remarks by the MP reflect the strategy of BJP to usurp power by polarising communities. SP leader Rajiv Rai demanded an apology from the BJP and alleged that the comments were aimed at communal polarization.<br/><br/>Earlier, Satyapal Singh described Dadri lynching as a small incident saying country's democratic set up is fully competent to handle such incidents. Last month, a person from the minority community was allegedly dragged out of his home by a mob and beaten to death on the pretext of beef consumption in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh.
