BJP MPs from Jharkhand staged a Dharna in the premises of Parliament House today demanding the centre to declare the state a drought-hit. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, former Chief Minister Mr. Arjun Munda said the state has received a meager 200 mm of rain so far against the normal 590 mm. As a result of inadequate rainfall, only 15 per cent of sowing operations have taken place in the state. He demanded a relief package to the farmers in the state.
