Main opposition party BJP has proposed repeal of suspension of seven members in the Rajya Sabha. Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mr Arun Jaitley has sent a proposal to the Chair stating that the Members were opposing the Bill and they did not intend to insult the Chair.<br/><br/>This was told to reporters by the Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mr S S Ahluwalia.<br/><br/>He said that taking responsibility on the behalf of the whole Opposition, Mr Jaitley has tendered an apology. He added that the government while welcoming the proposal has told the opposition that due procedure has to be followed before the suspension can be withdrawn.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the suspended MPs of RJD,SP and LJP are sitting on a dharna in the Parliament complex in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.<br/><br/>They are carrying placards seeking sub-quota for backward classes and minorities in the Women's Reservation Bill. Rajniti Prasad Singh of RJD has also joined the agitating members.
