BJP MLA O P Sharma, who is facing charge of beating up a CPI activist at a Delhi court, was released on bail today. A senior police official said, the MLA was arrested today for allegedly beating the CPI activist three days back. He said, the MLA was questioned for around eight hours at the Tilak Marg police station in connection with the case.<br/><br/>The Delhi Police had come under severe criticism for not taking action against the legislator despite having clear video footage showing him beating the CPI activist when the court was hearing the sedition case against JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar.
