A meeting of the BJP Ministers and senior state party leaders is underway at Dy. Chief Minister Mr. Sushil Modi's residence in Patna to discuss the latest political situation.
Earlier in the day Bihar NDA convenor Nand Kishore Yadav and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi refused to meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Mr.Yadav said in Patna that they were called by Mr. Nitish Kumar, but this morning they read in a newspaper that he has raised the issue of BJP candidate for prime ministership in 2014 elections. He said national leaders can only speak on this issue and thay are not authorised to discuss it.
Meanwhile, the JD(U) core committee meeting is also underway at the Chief Minister's residence to discuss alliance issues. State JDU President Vashist Narayan Singh and several other top party leaders are attending the meeting.
Top JD(U) leaders, including the Bihar Chief Minister and party chief Sharad Yadav, are expected to meet in Patna tomorrow to take a call on the future of its alliance with BJP. Mr. Sharad Yadav is expected to arrive in Patna this evening.
