BJP meet adopts resolution to re-elect Gadkari as Party President

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive Meeting continued in Mumbai on the second day today. Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa also joined the deliberations. The meet will conclude later this afternoon with the address of senior party leader L K Advani.

The party adopted several resulutions at the meeting. One of the resolutions provides for amending the party constitution to allow reelection of Nitin Gadkari as party president .His term ends in December this year.

Another resolution called more central financial assistance for agriculture and irrigation sector . The BJP also adopted an economic resolution promising to curb inflation, combat corruption and expose hoarders of black money.
