The Central leadership of the BJP has asserted that there is no possibility of a change in leadership in Karnataka. Party sources told our correspondent that the group led by Chief Minister Mr. Yeddurappa has been asked to take along everyone. The other faction led by Reddy brothers held talks with the BJP points man Mr. Arun Jaitely yesterday to defuse the crisis in the party. They are likely to meet the top leaders of the party later in the day. The close emissaries of Yeddurappa on Sunday held meetings with the senior party leader and the leader of opposition Mr. L K Advani and party President Mr. Rajnath Singh. They are believed to have conveyed to the party leadership that the change of guard in the southern state will prove costly for the party as some parts of Karnataka are reeling under flood furry. Party sources dismissed the newspapers reports that the senior BJP leader Mr. Anant Kumar is in race for the top post in Karnataka. Our correspondent adds that Yeddurappa group is believed to have offered the post of Home Minister to the rival camp but they are gunning for the removal of the Chief Minister.
