The Tamil Nadu, BJP leader Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has said, the abrogation of Article 370 and the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir could lead to prosperity in the state and integration of the nation.<br />''<br />''The party cadres led by her and Rajya Sabha member Ela Ganesan celebrated the scrapping of Article 370 at its state headquarters in Chennai today.<br />''<br />''Later, addressing the press, she said the term "special status" to Jammu and Kashmir has been a misnomer. She charged that the development funds allocated by the Centre did not make any discernible change in the state, adding there would be growth in education, health and economy after the removal of the Article 370 and the bifurcation.<br />''<br />''She charged the DMK of making a historic blunder by way of opposing the Centre's bold initiative and condemned the Congress for saying that the decisions would get reflected in the UN.<br />''<br />''While responding to a query, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan negated the possibility of dividing other states in a similar fashion, saying, the situation in terrorism-infested Jammu & Kashmir is different from the other parts of the nation.<br />''<br />''She also averred that the withdrawal of special status to Jammu and Kashmir does not require any popular demand, as it was a temporary measure, that was brought in without hearing the views of the people of the state.<br />''<br />''<br />
