Senior BJP leader Arjun Munda took oath today as the eighth Chief minister of Jharkhand. His alliance include the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, JMM and All Jharkhand Students Union, AJSU. Mr. Munda was administered the oath of office by Governor M.O.H. Farook. After his oath, AJSU President Sudesh Mahto and JMM Legislature party leader and party chief Shibu Soren's son, Hemant Soren also took the oath. This is the third time that Munda has become the Chief Minister of the state after his stint in March 2003 and in March 2005. At 42, he is the National General Secretary of BJP and a Lok sabha member from Jamshedpur. With Arjun Munda taking the oath, President Rule came to an end in the state after nearly three and half months. It was imposed on June 1 after the resignation of Shibu Soren as chief minister. Soon after the Oath taking ceremony, the state Cabinet met and took some major decisions.
