BJP justifies advertisement featuring Bihar CM with Modi

Even as the BJP and Janata Dal (United ), the two constituents of the rulling NDA in Bihar, struggled to keep their ties intact ahead of the impending State assembly polls , BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy today justified the advertisement in Patna newspapers which sparked off a turmoil in the relationship between the two parties.

The contentious advertisement had appeared in a section of press and coincided with the beginning of BJPs two day national executive meeting yesterday. Mr. Rudy saw nothing wrong with the advertisement featuring Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi posing themselves with hands together in the air. He said that the BJP knows how to protect its self respect making it clear that the party would not play second fiddle to the JD(U) over the issue.
