BJP, JMM fail to reach consensus

Political instability in Jharkhand continues as BJP core group could not took any decision on the formation of new government in the State.<br/><br/>On Friday, BJP leadership held consultations to review the Jharkhand developments in an effort to consider the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's offer to lead the JMM-BJP coalition the State.<br/><br/>BJP spokesman Prakash Javdekar said that there was no urgency to take a decision. He said that there is a functioning government in Jharkhand and the party will come out with its decision under its own time frame. On the other hand Congress indicated it may seek President's Rule in Jharkhand if the standstill over government formation continued.<br/><br/>Party spokesman Shakil Ahmed said that the Congress had not stake in the power struggle in the state. He said that if the situation continued like this the Congress could demand Constitutional Powers to exercise their rights.
