The Bhartiya Janta Party and Janta Dal (United) have finally clinched the seat sharing deal in Jharkhand. The two parties today announced to contest the assembly elections jointly. In a joint press meet in New Delhi today, the BJP President Mr Rajnath Singh said out of the 81 assembly seats, BJP will contest on 67 seats while 14 seats have been given to JD (U). JD(U) President Mr Sharad Yadav said that both the parties will launch joint election camapign and corruption will be the main issue i. Earlier the two parties had expressed divergent views on the seat sharing and the JDU had gone even ahead with announcing its first lisit of candidates.<br/> The Congress party has also managed to strike a deal with Jharkhand Vikas Morcha, JVM, in the elections. The Congress party has announced the names of 50 candidtes while the JVM-9. The five phase election schedule to the 81 member Assembly begins on 25th of this month.<br/>
