BJP has termed the ten year UPA rule as a wasted decade saying that the congress led government has failed on all economic parameters and let the country down. Introducing the economic resolution at the party's national council meeting in New Delhi today, senior BJP leader Arun Jaitely alleged that the country witnessed a decline in all sectors including economy, health, education, politics and governance during the decade.
He said the inflation, current account deficit and fiscal deficit are uncontrolled and there is a policy paralysis in the government. Jaitely said the economy is in bad condition due to large scale corruption and weak leadership.
Jaitely claimed that the BJP ruled states have showcased how economic development is possible even in unfavourable situation.
Earlier in the day, party President Rajnath Singh said that the good governance, development, stability and security will be BJP's focus if it comes into power.
BJP President said that there is a wave of change in the country and people are fed up with the UPA government's bad policies which led to poverty, price rise, corruption and security. Reacting to Congress President's allegation that BJP is playing communal card, Singh said it is Congress that is playing politics of cast and religion and dividing the country on religious lines. He alleged that UPA government is consistently conspiring against BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Our correspondent reports that the Party's National Council will give final shape to its roadmap for the next Lok Sabha elections in its two day meet.
