In Karnataka, the BJP held series of rallies and protests in the state against Governor recommending President's Rule and for not clearing Cabinet decision to hold Assembly session from June 2.The Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa participated in the protest in Raichur today. After garlanding Ambedkar statue and distributing houses to flood displaced residents the Chief Minister alleged that Governor is playing into the hands of Congress and JD(S) to topple his Government. On the other hand the Congress led by leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah, State President G Parameshwar, and leader of the Opposition in Council Motamma are camping in New Delhi to meet Prime Minister and other national leaders to press for dismissal of BJP Government in Karnataka in the background of Supreme Court strictures against the Chief Minister and the Speaker.
