BJP has hit out at Rahul Gandhi for attacking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of farmers saying the Congress Vice President has no moral rights to talk about their problems.

Party Secretary Shrikant Sharma alleged the Congress exploited the farmers and did nothing for their welfare during its rule. He said, the NDA government has taken several measures in its two and half years rule including raising the Minimum Support Price, MSP on crops twice and making Urea available to them.

Earlier, addressing a rally in Jaunpur, Mr. Gandhi had alleged that during his meeting with Mr Modi, he raised the issue of waiving off loans of farmers but the Prime Minister did not speak a single word.

Reacting on Congress leader's criticism of demonetization, Shrikant Sharma said, people across the country have supported the decision and only parties like Congress, BSP and SP are opposing it due to their vested interests.

''
