Briefing media in New Delhi this evening, party spokesperson Sambit Patra termed it a manufactured protest and said demonetisation has brought desired results including formalisation of India economy.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said Congress party is still tormented by demonetisation because the black money they had amassed for four generations through ill-gotten means went up in smoke in a single day and this is the real cause of their pain. Mr Patra added that three lakh shell companies were shut down and asked Congress President Rahul Gandhi why UPA government had turned a blind eye to these for ten years.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The BJP spokesperson also alleged that Congress party is trying to compromise national security. He cited figures and said there has been a significant decrease in Naxal related activities.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, addressing a public gathering in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that GST and demonetisation brought by NDA government have caused great harm to the nation. He said NDA government's sole goal is to snatch money from the poor.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In the national capital, Congress leaders including Ashok Gehlot and Anand Sharma staged a protest outside the RBI Office against government's demonetisation move.&nbsp;</span>
