BJP today hit out at Congress for demanding Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's resignation over DDCA's financial irregularities. The party alleged that the opposition party is using diversionary tactic to cover up corruption cases facing by its leaders.<br/><br/>BJP Secretary Shrikant Sharma termed the charges against the Finance Minister as baseless and said Congress has formed an alliance of like-minded parties to protect the corrupt leaders. <br/><br/>He also rejected the charge of vendetta politics against the NDA government following the ED searches on former Union Minister P Chidambaram's son's office. Mr. Sharma added the probe agencies are pursuing cases registered when UPA was in power and no new case was lodged under the new dispensation.<br/><br/>The BJP leader said whether it was the 2G case, National Herald issue and the corruption cases against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, probe agencies had taken these matters for investigation before it came to power.
