BJP has said there is no need for Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi to challenge the government for investigation as probes are already on into 2G , coal, CWG and Robert Vadra's land scams. The party was reacting to Mr. Gandhi's remarks daring the NDA government for investigation following BJP leader Subramanian Swamy's allegation about his nationality. Talking to AIR, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said it is well known how much corrupt UPA government was as several corruption scandals happened during its regime.

Mr. Hussain also objected to Mr. Gandhi's allegation that the RSS is dividing the people on religious line. He said the RSS is a nationalist organization and before leveling any allegation against it Congress leader should see his party's past.

Earlier, the BJP spokesperson also slammed Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi over party leader Shakeel Ahmad's comments regarding underworld don Chhota Rajan and ULFA leader Anup Chetia. Mr. Hussain said the Congress leadership should clarify whether it supports Mr. Ahmad's stand or not.

Yesterday, in a tweet, Sahkeel Ahmad had said that if Rajan and Chetia had been Muslims, the NDA government would have a different narrative.
