As Congress declared that it will not allow Parliament to function on Lalit Modi controversy and Vyapam scam, BJP today launched counter attack daring it to discuss all the alleged scams in Congress ruled states altogether. The party MPs gave notices for the discussion on solar scam in Kerala, irregularities in flood relief in Uttarakhand and disproportionate assets case of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said there is a well-established tradition that state matters are not discussed in Parliament unless they relate to issues like communal violence and human rights violations. He alleged that Congress is trying to break the tradition by raising Lalit Modi controversy related to Rajasthan Chief Minister and Vyapam scam of Madhya Pradesh.

Mr. Prasad said if Congress wants to do so, BJP will also raise all the issues ranging from Robert Vadra's land deal to alleged bribery case for water projects in Goa and Assam as well as Bhopal gas tragedy.

Mr. Prasad criticized the Congress for its obstructionist behaviour saying the opposition party is in the habit of running away from discussion as it will expose it.
