The Jammu and Kashmir Unit of Bharatiya Janta Party on Friday said they are firm on their stand on hoisting the national flag on Republic Day at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. Reacting to Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah's statement, wherein he had asked saffron party to drop the idea of flag hoisting, BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas said the party has no plans of cancelling the event.Addressing a press conference in Jammu today, he said, Mr. Abdullah cannot stop them from hoisting a tri-color in their own country as Kashmir is an integral part of India.
