While, Shahnawaz Hussain dismissed any differences in the party, Yashwant Sinha said in Delhi that he was in good health and his not going to Goa, could be due to some other reasons. The two day conclave will end today.

A resolution on National Security and Pride adopted at the National Executive Meeting of the Party at Panaji in Goa yesterday accused the UPA Government at the Centre of not being sensitive to the internal and external security matters.

It also charged the Government with communalising terror related issues. The Resolution blamed the Central Government of tackling Maoist problem in a very confused manner, sending wrong signals across the country.

Briefing the media, Party Spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said, no terror can be dealt with by bringing in religion.

In his inaugural address, Party President Rajnath Singh demanded pre-ponement of the Monsoon Session of Parliament to discuss the Food Security Bill and the Land Acquisition Bill.

Supporters of Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi held a protest demonstration outside the residence of L.K.Advani in New Delhi. They raised slogans demanding that Advani should allow Modi to assume a greater role in the party at the national level. The BJP however disassociated itself from the protesters, saying they did not belong to their party.
