BJP today disapproved of its MP Yogi Adityanath's controversial remarks comparing Shah Rukh Khan with Pakistani terrorist Hafiz Saeed.

Party spokesperson Nalin Kohli termed the remarks as incorrect and uncalled for saying such comments do not reflect in any way the core belief of the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said there cannot be any comparison of any law-abiding Indian citizen with a terrorist like Hafiz Saeed. Mr. Kohli said Khan is a much loved and respected Indian national and artiste.

BJP leader also referred to Union Minister Prakash Javadekar's condemnation of Vijarvargiya for his comments against Khan, to make it clear that the party did not approve such remarks.

Vijarvargiya had yesterday accused Khan of echoing the voice of anti-national forces, alleging he lives in India but his soul is in Pakistan. However, he later withdrew his tweets.
