The BJP today demanded the resignation of Defence Minister A.K. Antony for failing to act on a letter written to him by one of his Cabinet colleagues on the issue of alleged irregularities in the Tatra truck deal.

Talking to reporters outside Parliament, BJP spokesman Prakash Javdekar asked the Defence Minister what action he took in context of that letter written in 2009.

He alleged that the Defence Ministry has purchased trucks from the agent rather than directly from the manufacturers.
