The BJP has demanded President's rule in Odisha following kidnapping of Malkangiri district magistrate and collector R Vineel Krishna by Maoists. Odisha BJP president and former Union Tribal Affairs Minister, Jual Oram, said law and order situation has gone out of control of the Naveen Patnaik Government. He said, if Maoists have really kidnapped the district magistrate and collector, it is a 'very dangerous act'. He, however, said it might be a ploy of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to divert public attention from the multi-crore 'dal scam'. He alleged the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government has good connection with the red ultras and the 'kidnapping' of Krishna might be a 'well planned episode'. Oram said he will write to Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to look into this issue and come up with the facts.
