BJP on Friday demanded External Affairs Minister and former Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna to step down immediately in the wake of an FIR lodged against him by the State Lokayukta Court in an alleged illegal mining case.

Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Senior Party leader Venkiah Naidu accused the Congress of double speak. He said that although the Congress demanded B S Yedyurappa's resignation even before any FIR was lodged against him, they are reluctant to take any action against their own party man.
