Accusing the Congress of misusing the Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI, and plotting escape of Union Carbide Chief Warren Anderson after Bhopal Gas tragedy, the BJP today demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee, JPC probe into the functioning of country’s premier investigating agency.<br/> <br/>Addressing the maiden meeting of BJPs newly constituted National Executive Committee at Patna, Party President Nitin Gadkari also charged the Congress with forcing the CBI to work for its political designs and target the Opposition without bothering about innumerable threats to nation's internal security.<br/> <br/>Mr. Gadkari while reiterating his party's strong opposition to the civil Nuclear liability Bill, demanded the Congress led government to move the Supreme Court for seeking review of its judgement on Bhopal Gas tragedy.<br/> <br/>Maintaining that terrorism and naxalism had posed grave threat to country’s internal security, Mr. Gadalkari said, the weak – kneed approach of the UPA government had allowed the situation to go from bad to worse.
