The BJP today demanded immediate formation of a separate Telangana state. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Shahnwaz Hussain said, the BJP favours the creation of Telangana. He urged the government to bring a legislation for this in the current session of Parliament which his party will support.
When asked about the release of Sukma's Collector, who is still a captive of the Maoists, Mr Hussain said that the Chhattisgarh Government is doing its best to secure his release. He said, the State Government has appointed an interlocutor for this purpose
