A BJP delegation led by Mr L K Advani today met the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Home Minister Mr P Chidambaram and demanded the recall of Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj. They also submitted a memorandum in this regard. Later, addressing a press conference, Mr Arun Jaitley said that they have told the Prime Minister and the Home Minister that it is not in the nature of the governor to be politically impartial and alleged that he has failed to politically detach himself from the past.Meanwhile, in Karnataka, the five rebel independent MLAs today approached the High Court with an amended petition seeking interim relief regarding their disqualification by the Speaker on Monday. Janata Dal (Secular) MLC Y.S.V. Datta informed the media in Bangalore today that this has been necessitated in view of trust vote on Thursday. The BJP has issued a whip to 105 legislators of the party to vote in favour of the motion of confidence that would be moved by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in the Assembly Thursday.
