A group of senior leaders of the Bhartiya Janata Party led by National secretary Kirit Somaiya and former union minister Ram Naik met the Governor of Maharashtra K Sankarnarayanan today. The group requested the Governor to accord sanction to prosecute two former chief ministers of the state Vilasrao Deshmukh and Sushil Kumar Shinde for their alleged involvement in the Adarsh scam. The Governor assured the delegation that he will examine the papers from the legal perspective before taking any action in the matter.
