BJP Delegation meets Karnataka CEO, seeks transfer of officers to ensure free, fair election

A BJP delegation today met Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer Sanjiv Kumar and sought transfer of 14 senior officers including Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners of Bengaluru Urban, Rural, Mandya and Hassan to ensure free and fair election.
''
''
''The delegation comprising of MLA Suresh Kumar and Rajya Sabha member Rajeev Chandrasekhar submitted the complaint to CEO in Bengaluru. The complaint copy says that most of these 14 officials were posted just before the Lok Sabha election due to their proximity with the Chief Minister.
''
''
''The BJP has told CEO that free and fair election would be impossible unless all the recently transferred officers are moved out from their present posts. They have also alleged that JD(S) is using money and misusing official machinery to influence the voters especially in Mandya where Chief Minister's son Nikhil Kumaraswamy is contesting the election.
