<span style="color: #222222;">In a move which was not unexpected, the BJP has declared to support new partner UPPL instead of its old alliance partner BPF in the Bodoland Territorial Council. The leadership of BJP ,UPPL and Gana Suraksha Party met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Guwahati early in the day. The Chief Minister announced the name of Pramod Boro as the new Chief of the Bodoland Territorial Council.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The BJP however announced that the alliance with BPF will be continued till assembly election at Dispur. Despite that announcement, the old ally BPF seems to be unhappy with BJP as all the 3 ministers of the party didn't turn up to attend the cabinet meeting today. </span><br />
