In Maharashtra, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday officially pulled out of the ruling alliance and also decided not to contest the Brihanmumbai Mayor elections. The 27 municipal bodies in the state including Mumbai will go to polls on 22nd of November. Senior BJP leader Advocate Ashish Shelar tweeted today that since the BJP does not have the numbers in the civic body, they will not contest polls as the party does not want to have an unholy alliance with any Opposition party.
