<br/>Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley has criticized the Centre for its failure in combating the Maoist movement firmly. Addressing a party’s workers meet at Silchar in Assam yesterday, Mr Jaitley said that the UPA Government should have dealt the problem with much more firm hand.<br/><br/>The BJP leader has also accused Congress of vote bank politics and said that his party would make this as main issue against the ruling party. Maintaining that scrapping of the IMDT act in Assam had given a scope to identity as well as deport the illegal immigrants from the state but the Congress government’s indifferent attitude had made the entire process futile, he alleged.
