BJP criticizes Arvind Kejriwal for his comments on surgical strikes

BJP today criticised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his comments that India should provide evidence of recent surgical strike conducted by India Army across LoC in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Briefing media in New Delhi, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, Mr Kejriwal should not have doubted the authenticity of the strike by Army at a time when Pakistan has been isolated diplomatically at the global level.

He said, sarcastic questions should not be raised against the security of the country merely because of political differences. Mr. Prasad asked him not to belittle the armed forces by getting influenced by what he called Pakistani propaganda.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kejriwal rejected BJP's allegation and accused it of playing politics over the anti-terror surgical strike. He maintained that Aam Aadmi Party believes that surgical strikes did take place and in his video message yesterday he had only appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give a befitting reply. He questioned why BJP is scared when he had only asked the Prime Minister to counter the false propaganda by Pakistan.

Yesterday in a short video, Mr. Kejriwal had saluted Prime Minister for ordering the surgical strike but also referred to some international media reports which appeared to question its authenticity.
