BJP today charged the Centre of pursuing its Kashmir policy under American pressure. Addressing a book release function in New Delhi, the leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Arun Jaitley strongly advocated to scrap this approach as it is against the national interest. <br/><br/>He also criticised the Centre for acting on Justice Sagir report on Jammu and Kashmir on Centre-State relations saying it has been submitted without the consent of its members. Mr. Jaitley was a member of the Committee. He urged to scrap the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir for effectively dealing with the separatist tendencies and strengthen the fabric of national unity.
