The BJP has demanded cancellation of all the coal blocks allotted by the government to various private companies since 2004.It has also sought an independent probe into the entire allocation process. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi this afternoon, party spokesperson Prakash Javedekar charged the government with graft by allocating the coal blocks in an arbitrary and discretionary manner. Javedekar alleged that the allocation process caused loss to the national exchequer.
