BJP today came down heavily on Uttar Pradesh government over the Mathura incident saying that without political protection one cannot have stored such arms and illumination at any place. The party said everyone was aware of the activities of the mastermind behind the incident as several cases were pending against him and despite this UP police reached the spot without preparation. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra put five questions to state Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav alleging that law and order has become casualty in UP. He said according to NCRB data ever since Samajwadi Party came to power the attacks on police have increased three fold.
