BJP today attacked Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi over his charge that the family of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj received money from former IPL chief Lalit Modi. Taking a dig at Nehru – Gandhi family, the party said people from common families have to earn their living unlike Gandhi family where there is no need to sweat it out in the sun to earn livelihood.<br/><br/>Talking to reporters in New Delhi, BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani criticized Congress President Sonia Gandhi on her remarks that Ms Swaraj staged a drama while making a statement on Lalit Modi controversy and termed the comments as an insult to the mandate of the people. Ms. Irani attacked Congress for the protest of its youth wing against the Lok Sabha Speaker over suspension of its MPs.<br/><br/>She said the party workers are protesting by taking off their shirts which is disrespect of the Speaker, who is a woman. She also hit out at Congress for its criticism of the Naga peace accord and opposition to the GST bill. Ms Irani alleged that by continuously disrupting the proceedings in Parliament, the opposition party is blocking the development and economic reforms.
