BJP asks Kejriwal to apologise to Jaitley for levelling false allegations against him

The BJP has asked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to apologise to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for levelling false allegations against him in connection with DDCA case. At a press conference, party spokesperson M J Akbar Sunday said, Delhi government appointed three-member committee has not mentioned Mr Jaitley's name in its report related to alleged irregularities in DDCA. He said, it reflects that the allegations against Mr Jaitley are baseless. Mr Akbar said, Mr Kejriwal should go to the court and admit to defamation.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party said, BJP is trying to falsely project that Delhi government's probe panel report has given clean chit to Mr Jaitley in the DDCA case. In a statement, the party said that on the basis of the panel's recommendations, the city government has set-up a Commission of Inquiry to probe the alleged irregularities in the DDCA.<br/><br/>The report by the three-member committee headed by Principal Secretary in Vigilance Department Chetan Sanghi has not mentioned the name of Mr Jaitley over the alleged irregularities during his tenure as DDCA's Chief. However, the report has made host of observations about alleged irregularities by DDCA including construction of the corporate boxes without prior approval of the authorities.
