BJP has approached Election Commission over the FIR filed against party President Amit Shah for his reported derogatory remarks about RJD Chief Lalu Prasad.<br/><br/>The party said that the case was fabricated and alleged that it was registered by the officials under the pressure from JD(U) led Bihar government.<br/><br/>A delegation led by senior party leader Venkaiah Naidu met Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi in New Delhi on Thursday and urged it to direct the state authority to withdraw the case.<br/><br/>Mr. Naidu also questioned the conduct of state poll officials in the matters of alleged provocative and derogatory remarks by Lalu Prasad and AMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi targeting Amit Shah and BJP.<br/><br/>He said the poll body did not frame them under appropriate sections of IPC despite their continuous unparliamentary and communal statements.
